GloFAS provides medium-range flood forecast indicators based on an ensemble hydrological forecasting system. They are calculated up to a 30-day lead time.
GloFAS medium-range flood forecast products are displayed as colour coded overview maps and time series information at reporting points that can be viewed under the ‘Hydrological’ category of the map viewer. There are four main product categories:
- The ‘Reporting Points’ layer
- The ‘Flood summary’ layers
- The ‘Threshold level exceedance’
- The 'Flood extent and flood impact' layers
