To ask WMO for new parameter "soil heat flux" under Discipline 2, Category 3(soil product) would be probably more appropriate.

Is it correct that this soil heat flux will be only for the surface? For example heat exchange between soil and atmosphere, we don' t provide heat flux between various soil levels.
