Connecting to the ECMWF HPC Facilities

In this tutorial, and throughout the workshop, you will use the Cray XC40 HPCF at ECMWF. In this section we will learn how to:

connect to the HPCF
start a parallel interactive session

Open a terminal window by clicking on the 'terminal' icon in the toolbar.
Type the command: ssh troifsXX@ecaccess.ecmwf.int Note: Instead of troifsXX you should use your training user-ID
You will be prompted for the hostname. Select ccb.
