This icon allows a user to specify how data is organised in an ASCII table file. Various formatting and reading options are available, allowing a wide variety of ASCII data tables to be parsed. See on page 1 ASCII Tables for more details. This icon cannot be used standalone – it is intended to allow the construction of a table reader specification by editing the icon and then dropping it into the Macro Editor, where its equivalent Macro code will be generated. The data can then be used in a macro for further processing.[ The macro language equivalent is read_table(). |
