Note: The experiment directory can be a separate location from the earlier model installation path $OIFS_HOME. You will need more disk space depending on the duration of the forecast experiment. |
Example: In our example on the ECMWF hpc2020 the model installation $OIFS_HOME is in $HOME/openifs and we extract the i4xc package in $PERM, and the experiment directory shall therefore be $PERM/i4xc/2016092500.
