Within the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), the University of Zurich (UZH) produces regional-scale glacier inventories as a contribution to the Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI).
These inventories usually typically cover large mountain ranges or specific regions not addressed by other RGI contributors. As the inventories created by C3S are firstly After production, they are first submitted to the Global Land Ice Measurements from Space (GLIMS) database before they are possibly selected for the RGI, they do not appear directly in the Climate Data Store. Instead, they are provided internally to the C3S team , which provides the underlying data used to build the RGI. C3S only distributes glacier inventories once they have been curated and formally released as part of an official RGI version.
To make these UZH-generated inventories available to C3S users ahead of their inclusion in a future RGI release, links to these datasets are made available here. In this interim stage, they are shared within C3S as Interim Climate Data Records (ICDRs) for inspection, and some . Some of the associated documentation (e.g. the Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document and Product Quality Assessment Report) therefore refers directly refers to these C3S-generated datasetsdatasets rather than to a published RGI version.
This page documents transparently what has been transparently documents the datasets provided by C3S to GLIMS, and lists in Table 1 the generated datasets along with relevant metadata and links to the datasets. The list is updated once as new datasets have been are created and released.

Table 1: Overview and metadata of the glacier outlines created by C3S and provided to GLIMS. The column ‘RGI Nr.’ refers to the number identifier of the corresponding main (first-order) RGI geographical region in the RGI, the column ‘Epoch’ gives the date or date range the outlines refer to.
