LEXIS Project Kick-Off
Last week, James Hawkes and Tiago Quintino attended the kick-off meeting for a new EU project, LEXIS (@LexisProject), in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The LEXIS project will develop a large-scale HPC & Cloud BigData analytics platform. The focus will be on the convergence of HPC and Cloud technologies, in terms of how their systems interact; how they can share data; and methods to compose workflows of tasks running on both cloud and HPC systems. We will also develop infrastructure to assimilate IoT (Internet of Things) data, in particular mobile phone pressure observations, in collaboration with Moji.
