  • The 49r1v4 includes all the land surface model updates including new vegetation : CY49R1 v-versions
  • The tstep(=1200) is the same as the atmospheric model used for the extended-range and seasonal forecasts in the latest configurations.

  • In further info, "FD Hmat" means that finite differences to derive the Jacobians in the SEKF (instead of default EDA from ERA5)
  • In further info, "SLV_mask" means that the T2m/RH2m obs are screened in the SEKF SM analysis where the size of the ERA5 T2m/RH2m increments < 0.1 K
  • In further info,  "B_err=0.01m6/m6" means that the background-error variance in the SEKF SM analysis is reduced from 0.02 (default cycle 49r1) to 0.01 m6/m6 (default cycle 48r1)
