Earth Explorer files (normally distributed by ESA (via: https://aeolus-ds.eo.esa.int/oads/access/ (see baseline 1BCV and 2BCV)):
- The input Level-1B Earth Explorer data (only first 3 files due to their large size): ALD_U_N_1B_first_3_files.tar.gz
- The auxiliary data used by the L2B processor (not including AUX_MET_12, since too large): L2Bp_inputs_without_AUX_MET.tar.gz
- The Level-2B Earth Explorer data: ALD_U_N_2B_first_half.tar.gz and ALD_U_N_2B_second_half.tar.gz
- The Level-2B report files: ALD_REP_2B.tar.gz
...
- The Level-2B BUFR data (one file per orbit): ALD_B_N_2B.tar.gz This type of data will be used for providing the BUFR on the GTS.
- The extracted L2B BUFR (6 hourly chunks, as part of ECMWF pre-processing): extracted_BUFR.tar.gz
- Known issues in the BUFR (that will be resolved in the next delivery v3.10):
- Sat ID should be 48 rather than 600
- Missing values in some azimuth , and elevation angle and los spacecraft velocityvalues (when should always be available)
- Missing HLOS winds not when validity flag set to Valid, when it should be invalid results
- dHLOS_dp values are too big large by a factor 100 (wrong units). Also noted that dHLOS_dp and dHLOS_dT need more precision.

Aeolus L2B BUFR data with 2018 dates
Note that this example data (link below) does not have realistic wind values i.e. it simulated with constant wind profiles, which do not relate to the real winds at the time. The period is {27,28,29}/06/2018.
