This page illustrates the procedure , step-by-step presented in How to acknowledge and cite a Climate Data Store (CDS) catalogue entry and the data published as part of it to acknowledge and cite the ERA5-Land hourly data from 1950 to present dataset and provide appropriate attribution. This dataset is generated under the framework of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). For such dataset, the Licence to use Copernicus products only applies.

Use Case: A user has downloaded ERA5-Land hourly data from 1950 to present data from the Climate Data Store to calculate some results that will be presented in an article. The user did not download the data to redistribute it. The user downloaded data for the period 1977-1997 from the Climate Data Store on 23 October 2021.
