This page illustrates the procedure, step-by-step presented in How to acknowledge and cite a Climate Data Store (CDS) catalogue entry and the data published as part of it to acknowledge and cite the ERA5 hourly data on single levels from 1959 to present dataset. This dataset is generated under the framework of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). For such dataset, the Licence to use Copernicus products only applies.

Use Case: A user has downloaded ERA5 hourly data on single levels from 1959 to present data from the Climate Data Store to calculate some results that will be presented in an article. The user did not download the data to redistribute it. The user downloaded data from the Climate Data Store on 14 April 2021.
