For the EDA sub-daily data (stream=enda/ewda), compared with HRES sub-daily data (stream=oper/wave), there are also ensemble means and standard deviations (type=em/es) are also available. Both these quantities are calculated from all the 10-members (i.e., including the control).
Ensemble standard deviation is often referred to as ensemble spread and is calculated as the standard deviation of the 10-members in the ensemble (i.e., including the control). It with respect to the ensemble mean. The ensemble standard deviation is not the sample stdv, so we divide by 10 rather than 9 (N-1).
