  1. Good morning,

I wondered if it could be possible to make MAGICS and/or METVIEW speak with R and big data ?

    Warm regards.

    1. Hi Lucien

Even though in principle that should be possible, we haven't had too many user requests for integration of Magics with R. It is quite a large package, so the integration wouldn't be trivial.

On the other hand, I don't know which kind of integration would you foresee between R and Metview, considering that Metview is already an end-user package.

      Thanks for your comment

  2. Hi Daniel,

thank you very much for your reply. I think you're right ! METVIEW is already an end-user dataviz tool.

I have to explore much better to discover its possibilities. The script langage seems to be very powerfull.

Perharps you'll be able to tell me if it's possible to integrate Google Map or Openstreetmap Inside or shape layer from ESRI ?

PS : I forgot to answer to you if this page is the good place to ask questions ? I found it empty what is why I entered my question here.

    1. Hi Lucien

Probably for questions like this the best first port of call is to write directly to software.support@ecmwf.int.

      Thanks a lot

      Daniel

  3. How about the satellite datas ? Do I have these in Geotiff format and then is it possible to import this kind of format Inside Metview ?

    Regards

  4. Good evening,

Nobody can tell me then if It's possible to import Geotiff Inside Metview ?

    Warm regards

  5. The plot of Magics looks great, and the Fortran interface is good, but the documentation is too scattered and obscure for newbies! Anyway good software!

  6. Is it possible to inquire Magics about the position and dimensions of the objects before to draw them in order to re-position and re-dimension them?
