For new users setting up a station after May 2025, the EUMETCast Terrestrial over AMT VM available on Morpheus has been updated already. So in that case you don't need to follow the steps below. |
EUMETCast Terrestrial over AMT is being upgraded to enable anycast support on the GEANT AMT Relays. A new anycast address — 62.40.96.44 — is now available.
All users should update their AMT configuration to connect using this anycast address. This ensures you are automatically routed to the nearest AMT Relay, providing an optimal and more reliable path for multicast traffic. This update simplifies the setup and improves the efficiency of data distribution.
Update your station to use 62.40.96.44 before the end of June 2025, as the individual AMT Relay IPs currently in use will be disabled after that. Please follow the workflow update below to ensure continued access to the service. This workflow will update the startup script for EUMETCast Terrestrial station on EWC in order to use the new anycast address.. |
If you have already a machine running on EWC, you can update the startup script by following these steps:
2. Select your machine and go to Actions → and click Run Workflows
3. Select the workflow “Update EUMETCast Terrestrial amtgwd startup script” available on Morpheus and once the workflow finished successfully everything is done.
