From the left panel go under Compute → Instances
and press the Launch Instance button.

A configuration panel is then displayed with the "*" highlighting the mandatory fields in the panel on the left-hand side

Fill in at least the "Instance Name" field.

Check the supported images from the page EWC Virtual Images Available
Search for the image you want in the search bar and then press the "top arrow" button on the right-hand side to select it:

Check the supported flavors from the page ECMWF - VM plans and flavors or EUMETSAT - VM plans and flavours NEW
Select one of the available flavours by pressing the "top arrow" button on the right-hand side :

Select at least one or both the following networks option :
Note: it is also possible to just select the private network and assign a Floating IP to the VM. For more information on how to assign a Floating IP consult the page EWC - Network - Add a Floating IP

The Security Group define rules for the ingress and egress traffic of the VM. The pre-defined security groups available are :

Make sure your own key pair is selected, in order to have access to the Virtual Machine.

Once the configuration is complete press the "Launch Instance" button.
The build of the new Instance starts immediately. After a short time, the new Instance can be seen with Power State Running under the Instances tab.
