This page contains everything you need to know for giving a poster presentation at the workshop taking place on 10-12 April. 

Important notes

  • Prepare your poster standard A0 size (portrait orientation) 841mm (width) x 1189mm (height).
  • Please bring your printed poster to the workshop.
  • In addition to bringing your printed poster, please send us poster file before 2 April to events@ecmwf.int so we can publish it on the event platform.
  • We will also publish your poster on the public facing workshop web page after the event. If you do not want your poster to be published here, contact events@ecmwf.int.
  • Prepare one slide to introduce your poster during the 1-minute poster presentation session and send to events@ecmwf.int before 2 April.
  • The 1-minute poster presentation session will take place on Wednesday 10 April from 18:00 to 18:15.
  • The poster session will take place on Wednesday 10 April from 18:15 to 20:30.
  • All posters will be displayed (and available for viewing) for the entire duration of the workshop.

Event platform

You will be allocated a dedicated page on the event platform which will contain your abstract, biography and poster. The comments field at the bottom of your page can be used as a blog for you to interact with participants about your poster. 

Guidelines

Follow these guidelines to help make the most of your poster presentation.

  • Ensure you send your introductory slide to events@ecmwf.int before 2 April.
  • Hand your printed poster in at registration on Wednesday 10 April at 08:30 BST. We will set it up ready for the poster sessions.
  • Collect your poster from the Weather Room on Friday 12 April. If you are leaving before the end of the workshop and need your poster taken down sooner, contact: events@ecmwf.int
  • Ensure you are available during the 1-minute poster presentation session to introduce your poster.
  • Ensure you are available throughout the poster session to present your poster. 
  • Provide your poster file by 2 April to enable us to add it to your page on the event platform.
