These tips should help improve the experience of using Metview on different platforms. In some cases, the same tip will work on a number of different platforms as well as the ones stated.
openSUSE 11.3 (using KDE desktop)
- In order to ensure that Metview's editor windows (and other windows) properly pop up when invoked, change the following window behaviour for your system:
From the Application Launcher (green icon at the left of the task bar), start System Settings, then go to Window Behaviour -> Window Behaviour and set Focus stealing prevention to None.
