This is the home page of the OpenIFS project. The overall aim of the project is to provide academia with a portable, easy-to-use version of the ECMWF IFS model. The OpenIFS model comprises the forecast part of IFS (no data assimilation is possible) along with the single column version, supporting software and documentation. OpenIFS has a dedicated support team at ECMWF.
