The term "experiments" in the context of DCPP refers to two main categories of CMIP6 DCPP simulations:
- hindcast experiments which cover the recent past from 1960 and are constrained by climate observations.
- forecast experiments that are initialised with observations from 2019 onwards and are constrained by conditions of the ssp245 illustrative scenario.
