OpenIFS is an ECMWF led project to provide an easy-to-use and exportable version of the IFS forecast model. Use of the OpenIFS is gradually increasing in research and academic groups in Europe. This meeting will bring together OpenIFS users and developers to share experiences, discuss plans, and learn more of the OpenIFS in practical sessions.

This user meeting is organised by the Department of Physics, University of Helsinki and the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

Programme

The programme will include presentations about OpenIFS by ECMWF staff and users, practical tutorials, and discussion sessions. The meeting will start 4th June, 9 am, and end 6th June, 4 pm. The dinner will be on Tuesday evening. The detailed program will be announced early May (the 2nd call). User presentations are most welcome, please e-mail the presentation The draft programme is at the end of this message. User presentations  are most welcome, and can be included into the programme. Please send the title to victoria.sinclair@helsinki.fi by the end of April.
