OpenIFS

OpenIFS is an ECMWF project that provides an easy-to-use academic version of the IFS forecast model. Use of OpenIFS for research and education is increasing across Europe.

This user meeting brings together OpenIFS/IFS users and interested parties from Universities, National Met Services and other organisations.

Programme

This 3 day meeting consists of a day of presentations by OpenIFS/IFS users, with a keynote presentation by Prof Erland Kallen (ECMWF).

The meeting will continue with two days of hands-on practicals and discussion session led by ECMWF staff on using OpenIFS and other ECMWF software tools.

There will be a meeting dinner. A detail programme will be announced early May.

Registration deadline is 15th May 2014. Registration is free.

We invite oral presentations from users of IFS, OpenIFS or related topics in NWP.

       Please note: space is limited in the practical sessions (days 2 & 3). Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
