The International Earth Surface Working Group - IESWG is an international expert group supporting the Coordination Group for Meteorological Satellites - CGMS. The WG meetings IESWWG helds annual or bi-annual workshops and their scope and outcomes are collected here:

As of 2024 the IESWG co-chairs are: Clara DRAPER (NOAA clara.draper@noaa.gov) and Gianpaolo BALSAMO (pad@ecmwf.int gpbalsamo@wmo.int). The rapporteur for CGMS is Ben RUSTON (UCAR benr@ucar.edu).
