The TIGGE archive consists of ensemble forecast data from ten global numerical weather prediction (NWP) centres, starting from October 2006, which has been made available for scientific research.
TIGGE data can be accessed via the following portals (also shown in "Quick links"):
- ECMWF http://apps.ecmwf.int/datasets/data/tigge/
- CMA: http://wisportal.cma.gov.cn/wis/
- NCAR http://rda.ucar.edu/ (portal available until the end of 2015, only for TIGGE data up to the end of 2014)
TIGGE has become a focal point for a range of research projects, including research on ensemble forecasting, predictability and the development of products to improve the prediction of severe weather.
