The Linux Virtual Desktop is the replacement for all desktop-class Linux workstations, which will be phased out after the move to the data centre to Bolognayour dedicated Red Hat Enterprise Linux system running in ECMWF's data centre. It can be used as a graphical desktop to manage compute tasks on the HPC.
