The assimilation for the atmosphere employs Newtonian relaxation of the reference data with the following variable dependend relaxation times:
- Divergence (48 hrs)
- Vorticity (6hrs)
- Temperature (24hrs)
- logarithm of surface pressure (24 hrs)
