Metview's Contouring icon has a setting for this: set Contour Automatic Setting to "ecchart". See also 2m Temperature Plot Example.
For users with MARS access, Metview also has an icon called ECCHARTS that can retrieve and process the data required to create and plot most of the ecCharts layers.
