Specifies the reference forecast time step (in hours) at which the assignment of Ensemble forecast members to Tube products is carried out.

reference=<value>

The tubing categorisation made at the reference Forecast time-steps is applied to a number of preceding forecast time steps. These differ according to the reference forecast time step. The table below shows the values you can specify in step for each of the allowed values of reference, or conversely, the values you can specify in reference for a given value of step.

Valid values:

• Time difference in hours, e.g. 3, 6 etc.
