The European Commission has delegated the operational side of the Copernicus programme to various organizations. ECMWF is one of these, it operates the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) and the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) on behalf of the European Commission.

ECMWF is also the computational centre of the European Flood Awareness System (EFAS), a component of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS), which is managed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.
