The CAMS high resolution FC o-suite (experiment he9h running at tco1279, L137) was started on 2020-01-01, with an e-suite period from 2020-01-01 to 2020-10-31. Main new feature are:

  • New IFS cycle 47R1  (operational branch)
  • GHG initial conditions from CY47R1 GHG analysis (hd7v)
  • New  CAMS-GLOB-ANTv4.2 anthropogenic CO2 and CH4 emissions (monthly mean files).
  • Roedenbeck et al. (2013) CO2 air-sea monthly fluxes for 2017 (Jena-CarboScope v1.6 based on SOCAT data).

Changes introduced during production affecting the quality of the products

The high resolution FC has been set to work on cyclic mode (using initial conditions from previous forecast) instead of being nudged with GHG analysis (hd7v). This is due to some technical problems with experiment hd7v that have delayed the experiment. The nudging of the initial conditions will be resumed once hd7v catches up in NRT.

2021020120210201The initial conditions for the high resolution FC have been set up to be nudged to hd7v after it caught up in NRT (4 days behind).

20200802–20200805Shift to using 4-day lagged GHG analysis from hd7v to allow near-real-time operation
Note: GHG fields retrieved for these dates on 6–7 August may have had a temporary problem and should be re-retreived.
