Prerequisite

You must prepare a tar-gz file ready for uploading to the OpenIFS@home portal.

Please see: OpenIFS@home: Preparing Files to Upload for instructions on how to prepare the initial experiment files to be uploaded.

Upload files

The starting point to upload files is the 'OpenIFS@home Dashboard'.

Click the 'Upload Files' button

This will load a page with a form that requests information about the experiment files to be uploaded. The information entered here goes into a searchable database (see the 'Search' button on the Dashboard).

Complete the form as required, making sure the details are correct as there is no possibility of correcting mistakes once the form has been submitted.

Click the 'Browse' button to select your gzipped tarfile to upload:

If you are satisfied the information is correct, click the 'Submit Query' button:

The form then changes to show the file is being uploaded:

If the file uploads successfully, a screen similar to shown below will appear:
