TIGGE?TIGGE TIGGE, the THORPEX Interactive Grand Global Ensemble, is a key component of THORPEX: a World Weather Research Programme to accelerate the improvements in the accuracy of 1-day to 2 week high-impact weather forecasts for the benefit of humanity. ECMWF has played a key role in creation and maintenance of the TIGGE archive where nine global ensemble weather forecast systems' outputs are stored.
TIGGE - LAMTIGGE - LAM is a continuation of TIGGE project, now related to limited area model ensemble forecasting. TIGGE-LAM archive, which can be considered as an enhancement of TIGGE (global) archive, is being created at ECMWF in the frame of EU funded GEOWOW project. recently-updated |
