title11-07-2017 Met Office Tropical Cyclone CXML data
As of the 12UTC forecast on 11th July 2017, the Met Office MOGREPS-G ensemble has been upgraded from 33km to 20km resolution. MOGREPS-G will continue to run four times a day (00, 06, 12 and 18UTC), but the number of ensemble members per run has increased from 12 to 18, with the last two runs being combined to create a 36-member time-lagged ensemble. From the 12UTC forecast on 11th July 2017 the Met Office tropical cyclone CXML data will also come from the upgraded MOGREPS-G forecasts. Note that each CXML dataset includes tracks from a lagged ensemble of 36 members, i.e. the current forecast and the forecast from 6 hours earlier. The CXML data are available via the NCAR archive at  http://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds330.3/ or see the TIGGE cyclone exchange page at http://www.cawcr.gov.au/research/cyclone-exchange/ for further information.
