The house has been also home The house belonged to Miss Ruth Asher (1914-2010, Musician) who lived in St Annes and (in this house) up to the age of 96. Moving to England from Germany in 1933 as young promising musician, thanks to influential action of her family friend friend Albert Einstein, who payed her a music scholarship in the UK. This international move saved her from deportation and offered opportunity of (her two sisters died), offering her the opportunity for a new life. Pianist, Musician, Teacher Ruth became a wonderful pianist, musician, and appreciated teacher of Queen Anne's school and as well as a lively member of the University of Reading she . She was a beloved neighbour of St. Annes road. The house owned by Anne's road and all neighbours have fond memory of her. This house has been a good home for the Balsamo family from 2016 to 2023 is now on the market.
