Historic house for sale at number 9 of St Anne's road ins Caversham, Reading. Built in 1903 at the peak of the industrial revolution when Claude Monet was painting his famous House of Parliament in shades of reds (more than 100 paintings painted at the same hours and places).

The house belonged to Miss Ruth Asher (1914-2010, Musician) who lived in St Annes and in this house up to the age of 96. Moving to England from Germany in 1933 as young promising musician, thanks to influential action of her family friend Albert Einstein, who saved her from deportation and offered opportunity of a new life. Pianist, Musician, Teacher of Queen Anne's school and lively member of University of Reading she was a beloved neighbour of St. Annes road. The house owned by the Balsamo family from 2016 to 2023 is now on the market.
