titleWhat is TIGGE?
TIGGE
TIGGE, the THORPEX Interactive Grand Global Ensemble, is

a key component of THORPEX: a World Weather Research Programme to accelerate the improvements in the accuracy of 1-day to 2 week high-impact weather forecasts for the benefit of humanity.

ECMWF has played a key role in creation and maintenance of the TIGGE archive where nine global ensemble weather forecast systems' outputs are stored.
TIGGE - LAM

TIGGE - LAM is a continuation of TIGGE project, now related to limited area model ensemble forecasting. TIGGE-LAM archive, which can be considered as an enhancement of TIGGE (global) archive, is being created at ECMWF in the frame of EU funded GEOWOW project.

While TIGGE data is available free of charge, TIGGE users are strongly encouraged to publicise all of their research articles and applications that use any aspect of TIGGE data by emailing ECMWF's service  desk with a link to the article.
