Specifies the reference date of the real-time forecast associated to the hindcast.

refdate=<value>

In the Monthly Forecasting system, hindcasts (stream=mnfh) are run on the same day, same month for the last n years, and are associated to the real-time forecast by storing them under the same reference date.

In the EPS, hindcasts are run on the same day, but for the period 1971 to 2000.

Valid formats are:

• Absolute as YYYY-MM-DD, YYYYMMDD. The day of the year can also be used: YYYY-DDD
• Relative as -n ; n is the number of days before today (i.e., -1 = yesterday )
• Name of month (e.g. January for Climatology data)
• Operational monthly means are retrieved by setting day (DD) to 00.

THURSDAY (00 UTC based ENS run).
