The CAMS high resolution o-suite (experiment hlld running at tco1279, L137) was started on 2021-04-01, with an e-suite period from 2021-04-01 to 2021-09-30. Main new feature are:

  • New IFS cycle 47R3  (esuite is based on CY47R3.0  on 20210625) containing prescribed emission/flux changes.
  • Initial conditions from CAMS GHG o-suite analysis (hlkx) for CO2 and CH4 and CAMS operational analysis for CO.
  • New  CAMS-GLOB-ANTv5.1 anthropogenic CO2 and CH4 emissions (monthly mean files) based on EDGARv5.
  • Roedenbeck et al. (2013) CO2 air-sea monthly fluxes for 2019 (Jena-CarboScope v2020 based on SOCAT data).
  • GFAS v1.4 biomass burning emissions
  • Forecast is run at single precision as the operational NWP and CAMS air quality forecast.
  • Note that e-suite period only has 2-day forecast.

20210603Clean up of BFAS scripts that extract NEE anomaly in preparation for the DHS swing and additional options to store BFAS ascii files in ECFS in order to make monitoring BFAS easier. Changes do not have any impact on model output (they are bit identical).
2021100520211005Technical changes of BFAS scripts (metview python replacing Metpy and change in directory of climate fields to avoid duplication with NWP). These changes have no impact on results but are required for migration to new hpc.
