The following is a description of the latest operational release of GloFAS (v4.5), which was launched on 15 April 2025. For an overview of other GloFAS releases, please see: GloFAS versioning system.

Summary

GloFAS v4.5 introduces several minor changes to the system, including:

  • New layout and updates to the functionalities of the EFAS-IS map viewer and website.
    • Changes are reflected in the GloFAS User Guide documentation (to be updated by DISS)
  • The GloFAS fixed reporting point list has been extended with 11 stations in Pakistan and 3 stations in Madagascar.

This upgrade of GloFAS has no impact on the GloFAS modelling results.
