Dear Richard

As I will be traveling to Buenos Aires during the meeting dates, I will be unable to attend the S2S Panel teleconference. My colleague at JMA, Yutaro Kubo, will attend the meeting and report on relevant matters.

I would also like to inform you that WCRP/ESMO is launching the S2SP Panel (Subseasonal-to-Seasonal Prediction Panel) under WGSIP. This new panel will continue to promote S2S prediction science and will serve as a partner to the S2S Panel. Andrea Molod (GMAO) and I will serve as co-chairs of the S2SP Panel. 

In addition, the WWRP SAGE Project is studying applications of S2S prediction. At present, I don’t hear any specific requests; however, if you are planning any changes (such as reducing variables in the S2S Data Archive), please let us know. The co-chairs of SAGE are Dr. Victor Marchezzini (CEMADEN), Dr. Marisol Osman (University of Buenos Aires), and Prof. Steve Woolnough (University of Reading).

Dear S2S partners,

With a little delay, we would like to invite you to the regular annual teleconference of the S2S panel, of which you are a member as per Contacts#S2Spanel If this has changed, please forward this e-mail to the relevant person and let us know.

Based on our experience from previous years we have chosen two separate dates and times suiting better the different time zones. The meeting is scheduled for 1 hour (90 minutes max)


As usually, we have already divided participants to two groups. Please check them in 2026-02 S2S Technical Committee teleconference and let us know by this Friday 9 January 2026 if you cannot make it on those days or if you prefer to swap the groups. 

The standard agenda proposed is available in the links above. Please let us know if you want to add anything specific. Please be aware that we will expect from you to report about your planned model changes in 2026-27 or other relevant matters.
 
Additional meeting details will be added later to the separate meeting pages for both sessions in the due course.
If you cannot access that page,  let us know your user ID so that we could grant you permissions.
