EUMETCast is EUMETSAT’s primary dissemination mechanism for the near-real-time delivery of satellite data. EUMETCast serves data through two complementary delivery systems: EUMETCast Satellite and EUMETCast Terrestrial.

How to provision EUMETCast Terrestial on AMT
If provisioning after October of 2025, we recommend deploying based on the community hub, to benefit form upcoming features or fixes.
Pre-requisites
Tellicast License
- Register a user account on theEUMETSAT User Portal
- Subscribe to the service and data for EUMETCast Terrestria
- Ensure you select at least one EKU (temporal quota allocation)
- Request a EUMETCast Terrestrial user key for access from the EWC
- Write to EUMETSAT Helpdesk (ops@eumetsat.int), making sure to provide them your EUMETSAT User Portal username alongside your request
Upon completion of the above steps, you should have the following credentials at hand:

Security Groups
You may create security groups either via legacy Morpheus UI settings (available until end of 2026) OR via Community Hub Item deployment. Once your tenancy is onboarded into the EWC IAM, you may also create security groups via the EWC Cloud Management UI settings.
eumetcast
Create a designated security group with a descriptive name (e.g. "eumetcast" ) and add to it the following rules:

A security group for ssh access should exist in your tenancy by default. Simply verify it is available and enforcing the following rules:

User Notification Service
To access the User Notification Service (UNS), go to uns.eumetsat.int. You can find information on service alerts, scheduled maintenance and service enhancements. You can subscribe to UNS email notifications via the Earth Observation Portal. In addition, users can receive regular updates on scheduled maintenance and service enhancements through our EUMETSAT Users Twitter feed.
