Problem
ERROR 6 MARS_EXPECTED_FIELDS
This message will come with something like
mars - ERROR - Expected X, got Y.
mars - ERROR - Request failed
The retrieved number of fields is different that what the user has specified. Some of the fields that you have requested are not available. eg some S2S parameters are not available from all pressure levels.
Solution
- If you have access to the Archive Catalogue, you can check data available here: https://apps.ecmwf.int/archive-catalogue/
- If you have access to the MARS Catalogue, you can check the data available here: http://apps.ecmwf.int/mars-catalogue/
- For Public Datasets, check the availability of the dataset using the ECMWF Public Datasets web interface and adapt your request to reflect the availability.
