Overview
To minimize the likelihood of Item metadata rendering issues on the Community Hub dashboard, we recommend you use either GitHub Flavored Markdown or GitLab Flavoured Markdown languages for any content you add to the description
attribute (see Prepare your Item for reference).
Once Item review is completed, the following steps are taken by the EWC team:
- The reviewer pushes a follow-up commit to ensure the
published
attribute is kept asfalse
(pre-requisite for dashboard preview tests) - PR is approved by at least two EWC team members (one from ECMWF and one from EUMETSAT)
- PR is merged into the default branch, and delete the feature branch in case you requested EWC support for Item submission.
- The reviewer ensures all metadata is properly rendered on the dashboard; reviewers may restart the review process if your input is necessary to address any rendering issues
- If preview tests pass, the reviewer submits a follow up pull request which includes the
published
attribute now set totrue
. - PR is merged into the default branch, and delete the feature branch.
Once the above steps are completed, your Item will become visible in the dashboard, where it can be easily found and consumed by the community.
Please note that the duration of the process may vary from Item to Item. As the EWC team starts collecting statistics on the time to completion, the expected duration will be published as part of the Community Hub Frequently Asked Questions.
