Accessing free ECMWF data
Some ECMWF datasets are available to members of the public, free of charge (terms and conditions apply).
You can access free of charge ECMWF datasets in a number of ways:
- Using the web-based data browser you can download small amounts of public data and WMO essential data.
- Using the public Web API service - this is the preferred way to download data.
While the above products are free, you still need to check the licence for their use - you should find licence details with the products themselves.
Free data are also available through the Copernicus Climate Change and Atmosphere Monitoring Services:
