License
OpenIFS is provided free for educational and research use but requires a license to be signed before access to the model code is provided. See Licensing for more details.
Release distributions
OpenIFS is available as tarfiles from the ECMWF ftp site. This is currently password protected. Users are provided with the password when the license has been duely signed.
OpenIFS is also available as a Git repository for selected developers and users. For more details please contact: openifs-support@ecmwf.int.
