Only tenant admins have the ability to reset a user's password. Users cannot change their own passwords once they have set them.

If a tenant admin forgets their password, an EWC administrator will need to reset it for them.

Password Recovery

As a tenant admin, follow these steps to reset a user's password:

  1. Navigate to https://iam.eumetsat.europeanweather.cloud/admin/{tenancy-name}/console/ and login with your admin credentials.
    Note: replace {tenancy-name} by the name of your tenancy.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click on Users



  3. Click on the username of the user you wish to reset the password for.



  4. go to the Credentials tab, and click on Credential Reset



  5. In the resetAction dropdown, select Update Password. Then click on Send Email.



  6. The user will receive an email with a link to log into their account.



  7. The link will redirect the user to a page where they can set their password.


Password Policy

When users set their own passwords, they must adhere to the following password policy requirements:

  • Minimum 12 characters
  • At least 1 special character
  • At least 1 uppercase character
  • At least 1 digit
  • Cannot reuse the last 3 passwords
  • Cannot contain the user’s name
  • Cannot contain the email address
