Deleting a cluster irrevocably removes all the resources related to it, including the backups and ETCD snapshots taken from it previously.
To delete a cluster in KKP, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Clusters page and select the cluster you want to delete.
Click the Delete button located in the top-left corner of the cluster details page. - A confirmation dialog will appear, prompting you to type the name of the cluster to confirm the deletion.
Once confirmed, the cluster will enter the deletion state. - The deletion process cleans up the worker nodes, backups and control plane resources. After the deletion process is complete, the cluster will be removed from the list of available clusters. This usually takes a few minutes.
