The ECMWF forecast system IFS was upgraded to the version 49r1. The first affected run in TIGGE is 12Z, 20241112. Among other changes, with 49r1, CAPE (parameter 59), is discontinued and only the improved MUCAPE (parameter 228235) is produced in the medium range forecast system. Similarly CIN (parameter 228001) parameter is replaced by MUCIN (parameter 228236). For TIGGE, those new IFS parameters MUCAPE and MUCIN are encoded for consistency still the same as before i.e. with paramId 59 (as CAPE) and 228001 (as CIN).
