NEPS-G upgrade to version 3: The global model has been upgraded to UM11.2 (of Met Office, UK) and the model physics has been upgraded from GA6.2 to GA7.2 configuration in order to improve the representation of the physical processes. The upgraded physics configuration includes improved treatment of gaseous absorption in the radiation scheme, JULES multi-layer snow scheme and improved treatment of warm rain and ice clouds. |
