The infrastructure provider of the EUMETSAT side of the EWC announced an upcoming scheduled maintenance window that will be taking place on 04 April 2024 between 10:00 and 14:00 CEST, where they will be updating some network switches to improve stability.
Fortunately machines connected to these switches can and will be migrated prior to the maintenance, therefore no impact is expected on any services or VMs. We're informing you just for awareness/transparency, and to simplify any debugging in the event of an unexpected issue.
In case of any questions or comments, please contact us via the support (https://jira.ecmwf.int/servicedesk/customer/portal/9/) or via Rocket.

The maintenance has been conducted but unfortunately the update did not go totally without impacts. Some of the VMs at EUMETSAT side of the EWC experienced problems during the maintenance. Most of the issues have been recovered around 17:30 yesterday. If you encounter any difficulties with your VM, we advise restarting it. If problems persist, please reach out to us either here or through the support portal.
The outage stemmed from an issue with the connection to storage system Ceph affecting a portion of the VMs. We're currently working with the infrastructure provider to investigate the root cause and assess the impacts.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
