The EUMETSAT EWC IAM system offers two user interfaces - an Admin console for the Tenant Administrators to manage users and permissions within their tenancy and a User Self-service interface for the non-admin users to manage their own identity and credentials.
Admin console for the Tenant Admins
Tenant admins have the ability to manage user identities, roles, and access permissions through the Keycloak Admin Console. To access the admin console, follow these steps:
- The admin console is accessible via the following URL: https://iam.eumetsat.europeanweather.cloud/admin/{tenancy-name}/console/ .
Replace {tenancy-name} with the name of your tenancy. - You will be prompted to log in with your admin credentials.
- Once logged in, you are redirected to the Tenant Admin Dashboard.
From this dashboard, as admin, you can manage the tenancy (realm). This includes:
- User Management: Create, update, or delete users; assign roles and groups to users; and manage user credentials.
- Client Applications: Configure and manage client applications that users interact with.
- Identity Providers: Integrate and manage external identity providers.
User Self-service for all tenant users
All tenant users can access a self-service portal to manage their own account information, such as updating their password or viewing their roles. To access the user self-service portal, follow these steps:
- Go to the following URL: https://iam.eumetsat.europeanweather.cloud/realms/{tenancy-name}/account
- You will be redirected to the page to enter your tenancy login credentials.
- Once logged in, users are redirected to the User Self-service Dashboard.
Here, users can manage their personal information.
